What is the difference between teas from the Supramedex brand?
Both teas, PUERH and GREEN, are obtained from the plant known as the Chinese tea plant (Camellia sinensis),
but differ in the process of processing and fermentation, which gives each tea a unique characteristic and flavour.
Black tea PUERH
is specific for its fermentation process. The tea leaves are first processed as green tea and then fermented, which gives them a specific taste and aroma. Many people consider it a "mature" tea with a rich and complex flavour.
GREEN Green Tea
is made from fresh tea leaves that are quickly processed to prevent oxidation.
This allows the fresh green colour of the leaves to be preserved
and a distinctive aroma. Green tea is known for its high levels of antioxidants and refreshing flavour.

Preparation and storage

Water
Water quality affects the taste of the tea. If possible, use soft or filtered water. Boil chlorinated water from a central source of drinking water, which will allow the chlorine to evaporate, reducing any chlorine taste and smell of the water. Hard water can cause a bland taste in the infusion and the formation of an unsightly coating on the surface of the drink caused by the precipitation of tannins.
Storage
Store in a dry and dark place, at a temperature up to 25°C, away from foreign odours, in the original unopened packaging, after opening in sealable containers, preferably porcelain, ceramic, clay, or glass (opaque).
Warning
Do not exceed the recommended dosage (see preparation).
Not intended as a substitute for a varied diet.
Preparation procedure
Hot brewing
Put 5 g of tea leaves into a 500 ml teapot, pour water at a temperature of 95 - 100 °C (immediately after boiling) and let it steep for 5 minutes. Then let the tea cool down to a temperature below 40°C.
Cold brewing (preparation one day in advance):
Put 5g of tea into a 500 ml teapot, pour still water at room temperature and let the tea leaves steep freely in the water without a strainer and store overnight in the refrigerator. In the morning, pour the steeped tea leaves through a strainer.
