Greater Burdock (Arctium lappa) dried root

Greater burdock root contains mucilage, tannins, bitters, amino acids, mineral salts, polysaccharide inulin, a substance that is food for Lactobacillus biffidus bacteria, which has a beneficial effect in our intestines.

Traditionally, burdock root supports kidney function, the removal of waste products from the body and the excretion of urine. Overall, it detoxifies the body, stimulates the function of the liver and gallbladder, supports metabolism and regulates blood sugar levels. It is diaphoretic and diuretic. It promotes hair growth and lowers blood pressure.

With regular use, it acts as a rejuvenating and strengthening agent. Overall, it strengthens the body, which can also be used in paediatrics.
