Central UV lamps are designed to remove bacteria, cysts and viruses from water using UV radiation. This disinfection method is used not only for family houses, but also for commercial buildings and in industry. The water enters the inlet port of the UV reactor and then flows around a powerful lamp, which is located inside a thermally secured quartz tube. Ultraviolet radiation with a wavelength of 253.7nm kills bacteria and viruses and damages their DNA molecular structure, thus preventing them from reproducing. At the same time, however, it does not introduce any changes to the chemical content of the water and does not create by-products.

Ultraviolet radiation is a completely harmless, ecological, easy, cheap and state-of-the-art method of disinfection. Safety is key. Without it, it would not make sense to talk about disinfection at all (for example, a single colony of bacteria is enough to cause disease).
